Sculpted panel on 15th century high platform, Hampi, India.
I'm afraid, I don't have the king seated on this elephant in the sculpted panel... he would come up to this multi-storey high, stone platform, which was actually still being excavated, when I visited a while back. The royal family would be entertained by live music and dancing during special occasions, especially around October-November, a period during which several Hindu festivals are celebrated with much fanfare. |
