Badami... Jain Cave.

Austerity in Jainism is visible in the starkness of this rock-cut cave temple at Badami, in the southern state of Karnataka, India.

The human form images are reliefs of the Tirthankaras, the Jain gods, sculpted and depicted in their "sky-clad" form. This is typical to the Digambara sect of Jainism (the other sect is "Swetambara" or, "clad in white").
