Friends navigating the seawall, Georges Island. The green lump beyond and abover their heads is Lovells Island. The obalisque to the right of Lovells is Nix' Mate; pirates were allegedly hanged there to discourage others. Further right still is Deer Island; the egg-shaped structures are the methane collection chambers for Boston's sewage processing plant. I believe the methane is used to generate electricity for the site. |
