And here's the Ethel Azama LP. What a great cover; from the same photo session as the hypnotique lp. Excellent use of focus. The recording itself is Ethel singing with Martin Denny and crew backing her up. Normally this would be something you'd want to hear. Unfortunately this is not the case as one of Ethel's few shining moments is in her rendition of "Happy Talk", assaulting the listener with relentless cheerfulness as Denny and co. gamely press on behind her. Oh, well. Thanks for the memories, Ethel. |
