We got the door in!
The guy who was supposed to help my husband didn`t show up, so it was my husband, the 11-year old neighbor boy who mows our lawn, and me in my wrist brace (a precaution against reinjury of a tendon mishap 30 years ago) - it went pretty smoothly, considering. Two windows to go and then siding and the new addition will be "dried-in."
Then, however long it takes to complete is really not a problem. We still have our existing kitchen and bathroom, and the new second bathroom will have its door in the kitchen addition, so much of the work in the addition can be completed without having to break through the outer shell of the house. This is very desireable! (Think dust and dinner.) |
