The flag draped casket of former President Ronald Reagan has been placed onto the horse-drawn caison in the middle of Constitution Ave. approximately 16 blocks from the capitol. The streets were lined with people on both sides for the entire length of the journey down to the US Capitol. The last state funeral in DC was for President Lyndon Johnson in 1973. |
