WAX-TASTIC OBSOLETE TECHNOLOGY PHOTO CHALLENGE:
This is a stack of vinyl records. Records were an early audio technology used for recording and listening to music. Apparently, these large discs spin on a phonograph [fo-no-graf]. Though seldom seen today in our modern world of CDs and MP3s, the record was hailed for its warm sound and large format artwork, giving the listener something to read and look at while listening to the music, often under the influence of marijuana or coffee. What fun!
Do you have any vinyl records laying about? Can you use them in a photo collage or something to make a neat-o image for your FA album? Maybe you want to photograph some of your favorite liner notes, or do something abstract. Anyway, it's time to pay tribute to the record and I hope you'll contribute to this "wax" museum. Try to post your wax-tastic photo by Thursday, Jan. 6 at 9PM. "The world keeps on spinn'n, spinn'n, spinn'n into the future..." |
