The spotlight is on a special young lady - Clare, who was our drum majorette in 1974.
That was the year our high school went to Vienna, Austria (where this picture was taken as we marched down a main street in central Vienna, wow!) for a competition among bands from counties all over the world. We won! It was a ton of fun.
This blurry picture is all I have left of my mementoes - I lost what few pics I had and my yearbooks ten years ago. This photo is the cover of an LP made from our Radio Free Europe concert, broadcast live from a studio in Vienna!
Clare, I just found out, passed from this world far too young 6 years ago. A bright, earnest person, a terrifically talented musician, very smart, a lawyer and wife.
I miss her very much although we were never close. The world was a better place with someone like her in it.
