UPDATE RE ED:
the flu caused his liver function to go wild, now his diabetes is "labile" meaning his blood sugar goe UP and down . . .YUK.
He prolly will NOT be able to return to the Hospital under his old department.
Ed has been replaced at Same Day Surgery, the fellah who was standing in for him was offered the job and he took it. Ed trained him, he's a good fellah.
This does NOT mean he lost his "job" he is on extended medical leave (he has at least 3 more months of time paid left) and will have A job, just not THAT job.
He doesn't want to go back anyway and the way things are right now, he prolly can't. At least to that job (custodian) and workng at the Hospital as opposed to Same Day Surgery is not a fun idea . . .
Time will tell . . .
