REPOST
2005?

Jesssssssssssss-seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee . . .

Taken by Ed in the recent marathon "I'm-messin'-with-yer-head-daaaaaaaaaad" between Ed and Jesse (they LOOVE this game) and the camera and the chair. :D

I don't really have anything to upload - last night the computer BLEW UP!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, I just *thought* it did.
An ELECTRICAL outlet blew up - for REAL.

Thank the Lord I believe in having circuit breaker bars for all of our computers (3 now, one shortly to be an boat anchor or somehting - perfectly good but older than dirt and twice as slow).

I was doing something VERY VITAL - playing Mah Johngg and listening to Ricky Martin (Spanish only por favor).

There was this smoke drifting around, and something *smelled*.
Next thing I knew: ***POP***!!!!!!!!!

The computer died. I thought "OMIGAWD Our new PC blew up!"
(It does have a 30 day money-back guarantee . . .)

But no.

Ed was at work, so I scrounged around until I found that all the outlets on one wall were out. I babbled to him allll about it when he called on his dinner break. Whatta guy. He was very patient!

(I will have to MAKE him tell you all about the building he is working in these days - it is really, truly HAUNTED! The ghost came walking towards the two guys last night, they could *see* footprints coming closer where they has just mopped! The building used to be where the sisters lived who ran St. John's (long closed) Hospital!!!!!)

When Ed got home, he found the culprit - the first outlet on the circuit had burned up. The price tag was still on it - 69 cents.

He was off today so he replaced ALL the outlets on the wall with top grade ones ($3.29 each - wow) and bought new circuit breaker bars just in case our old ones got fried (they do get old, yanno). THEY aren't cheap at all but well worth the investment. Our two PC's were off before any damage was done to them.

Thus a lesson; when doing electrical, buy the BEST. (We didn't do the electrical here.) The wiring is fine, higher grade wire than necessary and then the guy went and put cheapie little outlets on it!

Ed also checked the house ground and it was done correctly (did you know you electrical has to be grounded?? I did - but that was part of my business).

So, why the Jesse face?
Well, he is Top Cat you know, and he wore himself out supervising Ed all day! =^^=

Tia helped too. /\/\

Tasha and I stayed outta the way!

THANK YOU ED for being a GREAT husband!
