23 years ago our daughter Lisa was murdered along with our grand son Jeffery. Lisa left behind 2 children, 14 month old son Jacob and 3 year old daughter Brandi. After some dispute the two were separated , we adopted Jacob while Brandi went to the family of Lisa’s estranged husband. After several attempts to see Brandi we were told it would be better for her if she had no contact with us. This was very heart breaking but there was nothing we could do. Brandi grew up not knowing she had a brother or Grandparents. After she became of age we knew we could contact her but had a difficult time locating her. A year and some months ago we located her father and asked if he would pass our phone number and a message along, he told us he hadn’t seen her in years and that he had little to do with her.
Last week and after years of prayer we found Brandi on My space , we contacted her and met with her and our two beautiful great grandchildren whom we didn’t know we had !!!
I have to admit that I didn’t know what we were going to find, we had no idea what sort of person our granddaughter had become nor what she would think of us. What we did find is a lovely young lady of whom any one would be proud to have as a granddaughter or daughter and two great granddaughters 3 year old Autumn and 5 year old Chloe.
This fills a void we have had in our hearts for 23 years, some how we now have a sense of completion in our life. Seeing Jacob and Brandi united is beyond words, I am a happy man!
Brandi is a artist like her grandpa and a beautician like her grandma. I will be posting some of her art work in the near feature.
