Interior of the demilune, Fort Warren. To the best of my understanding, the demilune would have been occupied only when the fort was threatened by an infantry assault (which never occurred). Yet the interior spaces were finished with plaster walls, and included substantial fireplaces. Oh yeah, the people: Miscellaneous family and friends. |
