		sfarnsworth	These are a pretty color. They are about the same color as the ones on my porch. I have never heard of putting ashes on plants.
			Ashes are great, lime and all that. We also add "manure tea". The manure has to NOT be fresh or the plants get burned from too MUCH something-or-other. Ed just bought a variety of annuals and we finnaly got most of them planted.
