			I love your art shadowplay. Love your work. But this series, well, just my opinion, but I don't like it, too loaded, too sad, and a one liner to some, but heavily weighted to others. I hope you don't mind a negative view. It is well composed, and great artistry, just don't like the content.
			ShadowPlay gracefully left this in my album: i know what you mean....but there is a history behind those dolls (i boufght four boxes of them at a swap meet....i did nothing to them, this is the way they were when i acquired them) but for me they are full of metaphoric possibilities; images that are meant to provoke and make people uneasy; these dolls were dismembered and disfigured by the people who played with them......not by me.
			And my response: Thank you for responding. I think some works stand on their own, others need an artist statement to put the work in context. So often images pop up and audiences forget that real people are behind the images, that we are thinking metaphorically. Sometimes, I think, sometimes, a bit of the artist's life and intent must be exposed to educate. Just my thoughts. Thanks. I'll come back and view them all anew in a day or so, "trying" to keep a more open mind. Only respect to you Buddy
