Would you explain craptimize to me please? Excuse my ignorance.
pixietart
gorgeous shot anyway
rdale when they say "craptimize" I think they are commenting on the image being resized, and therefore a perception of visual quality. What needs to be explained is that FotoAmigo has set the resizing so that it is as visually pleasing as possible, but not a high enough resolution to be print quality, therefore reducing the the risk of stolen images being used in print. We did this on purpose from the get go.

hmmm, i hadn't realized that they were actually being resized. in my mind, craptimization is the process by which sometimes an image doesn't cleanly make it through all the various compressions it goes through to get displayed on the web. I see it frequently as unsharp, pixelated artifacts in areas where the luminance drops suddenly. I also notice that sometimes if you reload the page it goes away. so, i dunno. when i looked at this shot beore it looked a little crunched now it looks ok. a
yeah, just protecting artists works--what the hay, why not.

Thanks xlime.
Oh, by the way, if you didn't know me before, I'm sure it has hit you like a board in the head --"OH GOD, from now on I SHOULD". It just happens.
mdanforth
whatever - it's a dreamy shot
