I must be one of the few people in this country who don't love cars... I like them for reliable transportation but I am anything but mechanically inclined....but I can feel your love for this car...I understand something that gives you pleasure for a long time, comes thru for you...I really liked the pontiac catalina that took us across country and back..12,000 miles but it needed a front end job and tires in Albuquerque and died when we got back...My first car was a Chevy from 1961...wait...I did really have great affection for my father's 1951 black dodge wayfarer because it was like a tank and we useta play the Meteorites are Coming in it....ya see..justa Sci Fi geek at heart...

Me da was a Ford salesman after he quit writing for the newspaper (in between he was making money with investing in rel estate) so we all grew up loving his "demo" rides . . . then my bros were into cars, not me . . . then we got THIS car! This was my big love, and I learned a lot about cars from having it, but I have never loved a car like this one . . . I mean, my first drive A-L-O-N-E isteing to the Doobies singing "China Grove" . . . VIVA LIBERDAD! ah youth! New cars, ick, way too cold (advertizing eeeeuck!) and hard to understand when they crap out on ya, even if they DO look like spaceship consoles with all them guages . . . :D. Now sci-fi I have a love affair with! PS: I laugh at U2's "Zoo Tour" DVD and one of the 'One' videos because they use the even-worse-than-the-Yugo East German "Trabant" cars!
