		FocalAnLae	We live in a flood plain too. Rather than fix the creek here (as the Army Corps. did in Rapid City ONLY - there was a disastrous huge flood in 1972), new homes in the area must be raised about six feet above the plain. Our house is exempt. but the aquifer is right below the land, so in a heavy rain we get some water in our basement (another item for our long-term project list)
