celticvoice GREAT spy shot! nice job! You mention Fahey and all I can think of is the guitarist John Fahey
celticvoice We are 40's and 50's and suuuuuunnnnnn
celticvoice Well, you have heard Fahey! then you have one clue as to my stepdad Richard's guitar talent and abilities! He can do anything Fahey did (and more) - he will often play Fahey's stuff with his own additions. Ai the moment he is working with "Band in a Box" and doing a lot of Brasilian stuff; has done classical (and still is and very well too; is in a guitar quartet even) and improvisation a-la-but-wayyyy-better-than William whatshisname? oh yeah, Ackermann, the founder of WIndham Hill Records (they had the same teacher once upon a time, Robbie Basho, now long gone) - they (Rich and Will) knew each other, however Ackermann never got beyond his Basho/Fahey stage. Richard went far beyond it long ago, but that's him all over! No borders, no boundaries, life is an eternal voyage of discovery. I really should get his album here going again . . .
celticvoice PS how's the move? Take any pics? 16,000 books, PHEW! someone should write a song . . .
celticvoice responding to an oldish comment I missed, no I don't know the Kinks song covered by Yo La Tengo (love that name) wish I did, have to try that Pandora (PERFECT name for an addictive site!)
prphoto Hi Tom, No I have not seen the video yet but a number of people have mentioned it to me. I shall check it out. Andy Goldsworthy is Amazing! Thanks for the comment.
