tanddjohnson Hi Diane. ;c;
DonnaW Neat song!! How are you today my friend. Went to Cathedral state park with the grandkids today. Had a nice time. Have not seen my frog today, I think he is hideing from me.LOL
mittensohmy love him, miss him
jimvoves He was the best
MIKEDONAHUE he was singing about Bush?
FocalAnLae Cash was singing about all liars, backbiters and so forth; it is clear to long time Cash fans that it is also a protest song. It is no secret to his fans that Cash opposed Bush's and others' actions vis a vis Iraq an the lies that were told to the American people and the British people. Even Colin Powell said ghe regretted that UNspeech that even convinced ME. (NO weapons of mass destruction were ever found.) Now, it is more than two years and more than 2,100 additional military and untold thousands of civilian deaths since Bush declared the end of the war" and "Mission Accomplished" on that airdraft carrier, and the lies and deaths go on. You may not agree with me or Johnny Cash, That's okay because freedom of speech (on either side) is an American RIGHT guaranteed by the Constitution. I support our troops and love my country but the Iraq war is wrong, DEAD wrong. Study the history of Shia versus Sunni Muslims and you will see that day will turn to night before they EVER
FocalAnLae agree on ANYTHING. Meanwhile, the deaths, woundings and massacres go on. I do not see this as a party issue as I am furious with the Dems and Reps alike who voted to ok this joke of a "war" and also voted not to censure Israel's ongoing massacres of Palestinian and now Lebanese civilians, not to mention our own civilian massacres in Iraq. (Our Rep. Congressman is AGAINST the war) Think and pray about these lyrics: "You can throw your rock, hide your hand, Workin' in the dark against your fellow man. But as sure as God made black and white, What's done in the dark, Will be brought to the light." Bush is FAMOUS for working in the dark. New Orleans is still a disaster area a year later.
FocalAnLae Th levees are not yet fully fixed; if Ernest comes in, it will be death and destruction all over again. The city's population is ONE HALF of what it was. See my album on the "state of New Orleans" at http://www.fotoamigo.com/FocalAnLae/?id=46675 The facts speak for themselves!
jimvoves Going to MN for 3 days see you on Wednesday
Celtic_Husband I agree with Diane 100 percent, I do support some wars, not this one. We went on evidence that wasn't real and Bush lied to the American people. Johnny Cash has the right (and so do we all) that to speak out on issues we do not agree with. Our constitution guarntees it, it's called Freedom of Speech.
Misshomespun My boys love Johnny. I like him, I've just heard enough lately... I hope that you aren't to waterlogged.
