tomswift46 Wow! It looks amazing like out of Matewan by John Sayles...a very dark movie about the coal miners strike and the brutal attempt at supressing the Union...
rdale1 Tom, the strike here was in 1952. People were killed and my Dad and uncle plus several dozen other men spent 6 weeks in jail.
jimvoves You were a coal miner? That is a tough job and very dangerous. I could go on about which party was in office when that 1952 strike happen, but I'll leave it there for another day. But it is only one party that is for the working man in this country. Have a great day, it rain very hard this morning and will hit 97 today they claim. Hope they are wrong, at least my AC is working.
jimvoves If it was not for all that coal you guys put out, my AC and this computer would not work. My thanks to you and your buddies.
jimvoves I thought you worked in the mines. "This coal town is where I started" To me it suggested that it was your first job, my mistake. But I do owe all the miners a thanks for doing what they do.
tomswift46 Wow! Roger I'm sorry to hear that! Very tough life...
