Must be a baby bluebird. Rain, rain, rain here.

I want a closeup but we wouldn't want to scare the poor baby...

CUTE! Our neighbors at the old place put up bluebiord boxes w/o sucess, we may try here . . . We found an abandoned robin's nest with one egg which I put aside and then 10 minutes later (Derrick and I were cleaning out junk from behind the garage) I stepped on it. Wow did that egg smell, but darn it, I wanted to save it!

re: FocalAnLae, yes it seems to be a nationwide phenomenon. My mom used to gripe about California because she remebered the days when she and her family did their "visiting" on Sundays after church. Sometimes they weer "visited", sometimes they did the visiting. SHe knew everybody for blocks around. It's a shame. ANd I miss my family so!

Also, we just moved 3 miles - in the old place everyone knew us and if Boss was this sick, no one would have called and said we weren't caring for him. THAT is why the State Vet came out. After I tok a npap, he came BACK because they got ANOTHER call saying "they don't feed their horses enough!" And no, it was the stable owner who was nicer than nice today . . . go figger!

I have been in this "small town" nine years and I have NO friends here. Except my husband and Derrick. And in California, I met people through work primarily. A sad fact, yes?

Life is here, baby! Tender foto!
