What wonderful petunias! I wish I could find some like that here, very delicate coloring! Annual flowers are hard to come by because of water rationing . . .
Welll I don't want to advertise this but we are *thinking* of a possible move to Ohio and it would be kinda handy to drive "by" on our way to scout the area .. . I am so glad you mentioned it, I would LOVE to visit you (and your gardens!). You are a very special person and I enjoy the wide variety of things in your life!
I keep getting off track, your comment about gerontology, yes, I have always appreciated the elders more than my own age. Being around the native (the traditional ones anyway) who cherish the elders as the keepers of hostory and the young as the furture, I appreciate them even more. My aunt discovered a lot of things as she got to retirement; she became quite the quilter, it is a shame modern fabrics do not last. My godmother started weaving . . .
I don't fear growing old, I fwear growing "useless". I am already disabled to a point - which I find hard after discovering (belatedly) vigorous and active sport and health from 20 until 38. (I cannot work, although I am ambulatory). But in my faith I have to believe there is always *something* no matter how seemingly small, that I can do (St. Therese of Liseux and her "Little Way" are very inspirational . . .
