tanddjohnson David found him dead this evening. Something must have got to him in the night because he never came up for breakfast. I was getting pretty attached to him and will miss him. He was always waiting every evening when we got home for his supper. David is going to bury him tomorrow while I am at work.
when I saw the thumbnail on the home page it made me smile. I am not smiling now. So sorry to hear it. Rest in peace sweet bird and say hello to my Ida Claire, Harold and Maude...............just a few of the birds in my life that have passed.
rdale1 Sorru to hear that Trina. He didn't freeze did he?
tanddjohnson no, something tore his head off. A owl or coon or something, I guess.
nick_n_lily Nice vignette! Sorry about your loss. I like chickens.
PatrickGarner quite funny... :-)
duncan I guess he'll never know the joys of having a family (of chickens that is). Thank you for your comments on all my pictures. You were true to your word, and that is a very high quality.
duncan Left a message for Rodney on the 25th photo. If time machines ever get invented, Rodney will get this message in time.
mdanforth Oh, I'm so sorry about Rodney. I enjoyed seeing his pictures and hearing about his visits - I know you'll miss him.
